Antalya Demre

Day 1 : Antalya (Kemer) Gulet Embarkation

We board our traditional handmade wooden gulet yacht in Antalya, Kemer. Following a quick check in to our private cabin or dropping luggage at our office in the town, we can have rest of the day free for a stroll in the beautiful town center. Kemer is a resort town carefully designed to blend with the surrounding scenery that offers an ideal environment for a wonderful holiday. Upon our return back to the yacht we meet our captain and the crew. This evening we enjoy our captain's welcome dinner on board. Overnight in Kemer Marina. Please note; * Embarkation time to Gulet is after 10:30 AM.

Day 2 : Sazak - Adrasan

Following breakfast this morning, which will be prepared specially for us by our cook on board, we anchor and cruise to Sazak and Adrasan, the famous bays of the Turkish Riviera. Totally un-commercial natural environment with sandy beaches, these bays are perfect anchorage for the day. The high surrounding well protected cliffs offer a refuge to wildlife. There will be a chance to go overland and trek at Adrasan in the late afternoon, when views become very attractive in the warmer light for photograph opportunities. A well trodden path takes about an hour to walk from the fishing boat cove and is mostly in the shade of pine trees. We swim, read and snooze the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight in Adrasan.

Day 3 : Demre - Gokkaya

Breakfast will be enjoyed on board before we set sail for Demre's Cayagazi Harbor. This hot summer resort area surprises us greatly when we find out that it is the home town of St. Nicholas (or Father Christmas). Here we can join an optional tour of Demre and Myra to visit the 11th Century Church of Saint Nicholas, built over the original one from the 4th Century when the saint lived. A short drive brings us to the Myra Archeological Site where St. Nicholas actually lived. Here has an older history from 5th Century BC that of the Lycian Civilization who left their great marks which are the impressive Rock Cut Tombs carved on the surface of the steep cliff behind. There is also a incredibly well preserved Roman Theatre here. We will anchor at Gokkaya Bay for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Kalekoy (Simena) - Ucagiz

This morning we might choose to wake-up early and wash our faces with swimming in the clear turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Breakfast will be then ready on board to prepare us for another dream like adventures day in the beautiful natural coastline of Turkey. Then we set sail for the picturesque Simena (or Kalekoy) Village, where we will have the chance to take one of the most beautiful photographs of Antique Lycia and discover the partly sunken ruins of the noteworthy Lycian Sarcophaguses (or tombs). For dinner and an overnight stay we will drop anchor in the bay of tiny Mediterranean fishing village of Ucagiz. We will have the chance to go overland and stroll in the small streets to interact with the Turkish fisherman and the children.

Day 5 : Kas - Finike

Following the breakfast on board we anchor and cruise to Kas, one of the most beautiful coastal towns of the Mediterranean Coast. Then we move onward to Finike, one of the most popular areas for yachting. Fenike (or ancient Phoenicia) was said to have been founded by Phoenicians in the 5th Century BC, and thus named after its founders. Trade along the Finike coast was established first by the Persians, who relinquished Lycia to the armies of Alexander the Great. However, the coast was always vulnerable to forces from Syria, Egypt and Rhodes until it was brought within the empire of the Ancient Romans and the succeeding Ottomans. Finike today is best known for its oranges, which is the symbol of the town. The beaches of Finike are an important nesting ground for Caretta Caretta logger-head sea turtles, and the rocky parts of the coast are used by the rare Mediterranean Monk Seal.

Day 6 : Ceneviz Bight - Moonlight Harbor

After breakfast we depart for Ceneviz Bight passing by other unique coves and bays. The Mediterranean Pirates found this cove as a perfect refuge. Here we drop anchor and enjoy swimming and snorkeling, thinking if there is still a pirate treasures to be discovered. After lunch on board, we arrive at Moonlight Bay. We will have the rest of the day at leisure for swimming or for taking a walk ashore which will make you say that this is the Turkey you have dreamed of. We will take our dinner and spent the night here. There may be the chance of barbecue dinner tonight. Overnight in Moonlight Bay.r

Day 7 : Calticak Bight - Sican Island - Cruise to Antalya

Today after a morning swim or a kayak trip, which has become part of our daily routine during the life on the boat, we start cruising leisurely back to Antalya, stopping at the nature beauties of Calticak Bight and Sican Island for swimming breaks and lunch. In the afternoon we arrive Antalya Marina. Tonight we will enjoy the captain's farewell dinner; which will be just another feast by our cook who prepares it with Turkish delicacies.
